Having spent countless hours practicing firstly with a pellet and thereafter with a scoped .22…
He had the privilege of meeting… “Beauty” (an old trustworthy full stock 30-06, that many countless clients fell in love with). I let him become accustomed to the rifle until he consistently hit the target and kept his eye confidently open when pulling the trigger…
This resulted in a clean one shot kill of his first animal, the warthog…
Off course I couldn’t let him shoot a first time monster; this will come with time when he can appreciate the underestimated rarity of 15+ inch warthogs…

Oh off course he had to carry his trophy (this part came along with some rather unfriendly stares from his mom…)
