Ohio Archery Season Whitetail Deer

Taken by Jay Skrabacz, October 2010, this beautiful buck's short, early season coat of hair, shows every bit of detail possible. I explained he must have been a scrapper, as he was loaded with scars from doing battle. Jay then explained to me, as he was drawing down on this trophy, another buck came out and the two clashed for a moment. The opponent ran off and this buck got into position for the arrow to hit home. A scrapper? You bet! A fighter right up to the end! Now there's a hunting tale! Congratulations, Jay ... good hunting!
