Ozondjahe Hunting Safaris, Namibia's premier hunting outfitter is proud to offer the highest quality of RIFLE and BOW HUNTING with over 20 SPECIES of plains game and Leopard. Join us to hunt on one of the largest privately owned game reserves in Namibia which is located in a MALARIA FREE zone in the central region of Namibia.

By limiting the quantity of fair chase hunting safaris that we conduct, our clients consistently leave with top quality trophies across the board, including an exceptional number of TOP 10 all time trophies hunted in Namibia according to Namibia Professional Hunter Association (NAPHA). More than 85% of our hunting trophies reach NAPHA Gold Medal standards or higher, which is why so many of our clients have returned to hunt Namibia with us again and again and have the confidence to send their friends.

The hunting territory consists of a variety of differing terrains including bush land with open savannahs and contains an entire mountain range, Ozondjahe Peak, after which the hunting reserve is named. The vast area of Ozondjahe Hunting Safaris is 75,000 acres (30.000 hectares) or 120 square miles (300 square kilometers) in one solid landmass, which is TEN TIMES LARGER than the average hunting property in Namibia. This makes it possible for you to fully commit your time to your safari hunting endeavors rather than spending hours driving long distances between small hunting establishments, a common practice amongst hunting outfitters in Namibia.

We welcome non-hunting safari family members or friends, and can organize outings and activities for those guests when not accompanying the hunting party.

#1 In My Book! Star OnStar OnStar OnStar OnStar On - 01/18/2009 19:48:15
Derek West from United States
I hunted Ozondjahe Safaris in April 2008 and was able to bag all six of the species I came to Namibia for; all of which were top notch trophies. Here is my summary of the hunt and the services provided by Ozondjahe.

On the first morning, as with each on thereafter, my PH & I met for a fantastic home cooked breakfast and headed out with our two trackers and fearless Jack Russell terrier. We hunted hard for the trophy eland I have longed for years but these animals stayed on the move and our efforts to cut them off and position me for a shot just didn't pan out, but on the return hunt I took a huge impala that i am positive I will never best.

Day two saw us head to the northern portion of hunting land where i, after several failed stalks due to wind and the jumpiness of the other herd animals, I was able to take a big zebra stallion. These animals are very tough to hunt as they use their wildebeest herd parties as their first lines of defense.

Day three greeted us with a gift of sorts, right out of the shoots we caught a glimpse of a nice kudu bull that was courting some young cows. We quickly dismounted and made a picture-perfect stalk and I was able to take the bull and I had come so far to hunt. With such a beautiful trophy I could have been skunked the rest of the trip and it wold have been a successful trip, but this is Ozondjahe Safaris and they will work their tails off to get you the trophies you have come for.

On the fourth day of hunting we came back across the herd of eland with the old matriarch bull I wanted so bad; with a fantastic, and very long stalk that saw us crawling from bush to bush in an effort to cut the grazing herd off from the thickets, we finally came to our moment of truth, with a 250 yard quartering towards me I squeezed off a round, not wanting to track a desert animal through the thickets I bolted another round and found the bull in my scope only to see him stagger and drop. This was it; this is what I came for and fulfilled a dream.

The rest of my trip was just as memorable as the days I listed above, filled with fantastic food, drinks, and the hospitality fit for a king. I was able to take a few more trophies and see more animals than I can name; from giraffe to waterbuck, even a glimpse of a leopard coming away from a morning drink, Ozondjahe has it all.

Very few times in our life we get the opportunity for the "average Joe" to live out his dreams and hunt in beautiful, far away places as Namibia. Hunting with Ozondjahe Safaris not only met my every expectation, but they exceeded them in every way. I will come back to Namibia and will hunt with Ozondjahe Safaris again, maybe even for that leopard that now haunts my "new" dream.
Memories for a lifetime Star OnStar OnStar OnStar OnStar On - 01/08/2009 17:38:55

Our 12 day Safari was in June 2007 and included a 1X1 guided hunt for leopard, mountain zebra, kudu, gemsbok, impala, hartebeest and warthog. It couldn't have been any better! My 10 year old son was able to harvest a NAPHA gold medal warthog. I was successful in harvesting all of the above listed animals as well. Our PH was extremely knowledgable about the animal and plant life throughout the area and showed us many special places both in the hunt area and on two seperate excursions we had booked with Ozondjahe prior to the trip. One was a morning game viewing trip to the nearby Waterburg Plateau National Park where we observed Cape Buffalo, Sable Antelope, Giraffe and many other plains game animals. Also at the conclusion of the hunt we took a 2 day/1 night trip to Etosha National Park further to the north. While there we saw lions, rhinos and dozens of elephants. We had our very on guide from Ozondhjahe the entire time and he was gracious an allowed us to sit and view or photograph animals at our own pace and we never felt hurried or rushed as you might on a "tour." Our trip to Namibia with Ozondjahe Safaris was truly a trip of a lifetime, and we were rewarded with trophy family memories as well as some amazing trophy animals. I would recommend Ozondjahe to anyone considering hunting in Namibia and would love the opportunity to return there in the future!
Namibia Plains Animals at its best Star OnStar OnStar OnStar OnStar On - 01/04/2009 16:07:18

Ozondjahe Hunting safaris is an excellent outfitter. Our PH, Andries Smitt, has a fantastic eye for trophy animals and made our hunt a life time adventure. His knowledge of the game and country is amazing. The lodge was well managed and the food was fantastic. I would not hesitate in recommending Ozondjahe Safaris. Jerome Lung took care of all are needs and was available at all times to help us with our questions and needs. Definitely a 5 Star rating.
