At the Heym factory.
With PH Mark Sullivan.
And al lot of other things...

I will invite all the people here, from the great USA, beloved Africa and European Countrys and of course Germany.

The Heym Jumbo Challenge

Saturday, 21st of April 2012 - time to face a challenge. The 1st Heym Jumbo Challenge will take place. A great program, high value participants and a challenging competition are waiting for you.

The competition will be performed in the latest state-of-the-art indoor shooting ranges in Europe. Renowned
companies and hunting experts are happy to give their information for your pending safari I gun I ammo.

Just fine HEYM guns are permitted in the competition. All prices will be given to the participants by a drawing.

Numbers of participants will be limited due to range capacity. Apply for your ticket now...

Heym company tour

Use the opportunity to get a closer look to the finest handmade gun manufacturer in Germany.
See skilled gunsmiths accomplishing their duty by hammering the barrel, soldering the set of double rifle barrels. Watch how a custom made stock is made and how your gun will be sighted dead-on at the company indoor shooting range etc. This exclusive company tour shows it all.

Of course, a free catering will be provided.

PH Peter Dafner

Peter is an PH from Tansania, Afrika.
He uses a .500 NE Heym Sidelook for many years and had an great expierience in shhoting and his own style of buffalo hunting.
He is specialised in buffalos.
(And an other style as Mark in general...)

He will share with you his expirience.
His knowlegde...
His adventures.
And:
His own pointing and target techniques on buffalo.
He has guided more than 500 buffalo hunts in the last decades, so he nows what he is speaking about...

Mark Sullivan ordered an exclusive Heym double rifle model JUMBO chambered in .577 Nitro Express caliber.
He will offer this great piece of handmade German gunsmith quality for a test shoot.
Who dares to fire this monster caliber here is the opportunity.

Morever the exhibition show room will be fully equipped with fine Heym bolt action rifles and Heym double rifles.

All guns wait to be inspected by your hands and test fired.

He had shoot this big (and free living) lion in Tansania, in Jan. 2012.
He had used his old Heym DB, in .450 NE 3 1/4.

We had now nearly 40 startes, maybe half a dozen is from the USA.

The two PH's you have at your event are renown for there use of double rifles in the field.

When you build a rifle for Working PH's what special features do they ask for?

You say Mark is having another .577 built, will you post pictures of this Heym Double rifle when it is completed. I am sure every one on AH would be interested in the double rifle.

Do you plan to have an event in the USA?

I will miss the DSC big Bore shoot next month. Where you get to try out different Double rifles.

Really would like to shoot one of your rifles before purchasing one.

Here are my statements:

- Yes, both of them are great. And they use opposide methods.
So we invited both to see and hear their ways...
And the people where can learn from both.

- We had an special modell for working PHs.
The Heym 88 PH.
Special build, fit to stock, with al the neccacery thinks, but no engraving.
And with an special price for real PHs.
Please look at the HEYM USA webpage for more details.

- Yes, Marks .577 will be great.
I will post infos, photos, pp. later in an separated thread.

- We make this meeting (last year with Ivan Carter, next year with ...? :-)) in Germany.
Because there is the main-building, the factory, pp.
So it is mutch easyer for us. We have the contacts, pp.
And we have the middle, because many people comes from other parts to, like Russia, Japan, pp.
