That is true...and again they indicated that i could do so however i will be in the pool until i do my part.
However i need to fit my schedule in order and going for the first slot was my best shot. I do not think i will be called with the number of relatives in law enforcement and on the DA side. Plus my trapshooting buddy was in law enforcement for 30 + years. I just need to receive the notice that i am not needed.

Now i have indicated i will be out of state in February, March, April and May.
February for the Spring grand trap shoot - 2 weeks
March - Doctor's apts and a state trap shoot
April - South Africa and Zimbabwe for a 14 day safari plus a few extra days.
May - Niece graduating from college to become the first Dr in family.

and the list go on from May...so i am in the first 3 week pool of 2012. i can live with that.

How is your hearing? My own is rather poor (since childhood) and when called up for jury duty some time ago, I told them my hearing sucked big time and gave them my Doc's phone number. Never heard from them again.

Hearing is fair and i have state of the art hearing aids cost 3K each. my wife made me get them.

Received my jury notice that i have been selected to serve.

Starting this Friday and will continue for 4 weeks.

Sorry to hear that. You may of course still be un-selected during the jury pool picking process. Just tell them all criminals should be hung summarily and trials are a waste of taxpayer money and they will quickly escort you out of the courtroom!
