Flight to KMG Safaris??
Im looking into hunting with Marius at KMG safaris and he told me that I had to take another flight once I landed in Johannesburg. Does anyone know what town that was for the last flight? I thought it was port isabel but i cant find any flights to it.

It's Port Elizabeth and it shouldn't cost too much. It's hard to fly into Tambo and catch the flight in the same day. Clearing customs is the hard part.

Remember you lose 9 hours in timer zones heading east.
Let your travel agent or airline know when you need to be on the ground at KMG.
South Africa Airways (SAA) and OTHERS have flights to Port Elizabeth or PE (PLZ) from Johannesburg ORTambo (JNB).
As E says customs clearance will likely be the issue when transiting.
Good luck.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!

It's hard to say without looking at the airline schedule. I think it's wise to use a travel agent to sort everything out. Lori's link on this webpage is a good start.

I used the rifle clearance using PHASA and easily made the connection to Port Elizabeth the same night with much time to spare. without the phasa service, I wouldn't have likely made it in time.

You will either overnight in Johan or in Port Eliz. I was glad we made it thru the same night, but I'm used to traveling. About 40 mission trips to Russia, Ukraine, china, etc. Marius collected us that night, got us to a guest house in Port Eliz and got an early start the next morning. we made it to his concession, sited in the rifles and got in a half-day hunting for free.
But, there is a good guest house in Johan that can process your paperwork, collect you, feed you, house you overnight and get you back to the airport on the earliest morning flight where Marius can collect you and head straight to the concession from the airport.
Either way, you will be well taken care of if you let Marius handle those details/decisions about what would be best in your case.
Hope you have an awesome trip with him, we sure did.
blessings,\
Jerry

Jon,
The members here have pretty much covered it. If you want me to drop you an email that sets out the itinerary of your travels exactly, just let me know and I will get that to you. I have also replied to your email regarding Lori's website info, otherwise you can find her banner on the right side of this website.
Take Care,

Thanks for posting this. It is a real fun read. I wonder if you can still shoot outside 30 minutes from their Mayfair location? Can you still buy a double rifle for 100 pounds? Can you...
