Have seen a couple of these before and always wondered if it was a scam. Even how to tell if it was.... Bruce

I also have received offers in the past...
checking left me to leave the investments alone...
we are talking about 150,000 acres and probably no fences and little water.
To little information to even send an e mail to inquire in my opinion.James Grage - New Mexico

This works out to R6600/ha. That is easily double the rates that we see in SA. Been looking for farm ground for grains and what I see in Botswana is less than SA, by far. Sounds like a sucker deal here.

The cheapest fenced game farms in SA starts at R6000/ha, Going rates for developed game farms in SA is in the market between R6000 - R15000/ ha.
This is not GRAIN land. Grain land is cheaper in SA and Botswana, but not irrigable land. Irrigable land in SA starts at R 10 000/ha up to R150 000/ ha for citrus orchards and R1000 000/ ha for vineyard land. This is a developed private game reserve, and for your U$1.65 Million you get access to 60 000 HA, and a quota game to hunt annually, for the next 100 years.

hein i know how the pricing adds up with a reserve/game ranch, but if you are trying to find 30 people to lay out $1.65 million each on a website such as AH (as great and fun etc that it is) i think you are in cloud kookoo land. i am not saying there are some people on here that dont have that type of assets , but the way you are pitching the whole deal is in a very amateur way. no body with the type of money you are looking for would look seriously at what you are proposing, simply due to the way you have presented it, and yourself. or should i say the total lack of any presentation, apart from a brief description of the place, an email address, and nothing about yourself apart from you are a developer. i will say you are still arguing your corner, and havent vanished, so maybe you are on the level.

Sorry to say that your prices on SA game farms and ag land is wildly off. Fenced average size is running about R4000/HA with some development. We have our problems with land claims but this is going away. I suspect you are going to find little interest in your offer here. The changes in Botswana hunting laws and attitudes certainly won't help. While it is no qualification on my expertise I own/JV about 20,000HA, I would gladly sell all or some to you at the prices you suggest.

I know its beside the point but average in the Waterberg is around R8000 - R15 000 a hectare. Rough indeed.
Have a nice chunk of land for anyone running around with R85 bar or $ 10,5....
My best always.

..spoke to my sweetheart about this (aka wife, hunting buddy, business partner, fellow investor, boss etc.) and she asked me if I'd been smoking happy-weed. She said.."you're a cranky old bugger now..so you'll really be full of crap in a 100 year's time..especially in winter.."

Hi Spike,
I know it looks very amateurish, and I do not expect even one investor to surface through this website. Yes I am maybe at the " scratching my head " stage. I am just checking the water through this forum. I will be visiting the USA in due course with a proper presentation and marketing strategy. I know there is investors that are interested in this project, and not necessarily hunters as such. As soon as my full proposal is in place I will anyway keep you updated, and if you are interested present it to you.
Hein
