This trip my wife will be staying home. She doesn't want to fly half way around the world to deal with snow and wind. She will wait until our June 14th hunt to Namibia 2013. Nevada, That sounds like a great trip, and especially since you will be sharing it with your family.
I did a similar trip in 2005, only I was by myself. I hunted Buffalo and Bushbuck in Matetsi, then visited Vic Falls, stayed overnight at Russell's Ultimate Lodge, did an evening booze cruise on the Zambezie, and had dinner at the Vic Falls Hotel. A lot of history there!
From there, I flew back to Joburg, was met by another PH and went to Kwa-Zulu Natal for Nyala and a few others, then on to the Free State for still a few more. It was a great trip and hunt.

We will be hunting a few hours from camp. In the stormburg mountains. This is a picture of my wife and I last time we hunted the mountains. South Africa's only ski resort, Tiffindell, is also situated in these mountains. Wind and snow.Quote:
