Permits and trophy fees in Botswana
Can anyone tell me how the system works in Botswana. Is the permit like a license that you buy one for each animal and is not refundable if you don't get the animal? Or is it the same as a trophy fee but goes to the gov.

Single Game Licence:- Entitles the holder to hunt one animal of such species and kind for a specified period in a particular area
- Applicable to both citizens and non-citizens on different fee categories (Appendix 1).
- This licence is not transferable between individuals or between areas. However, citizens are allowed to endorse single game licence to another citizen only once to allow one to hunt for the owner of the licence.
- The proceeds of the hunt belong to the licence holder.
