Default Hunting in Africa with my own rifle

    Good day Ladies and Gents,

I live in France and would like to go to Africa for hunting. Now, the question I have is: Can I go and hunt with my own rifle ? I was surfing on the net desperately trying to find any international regulations regarding transportation and use of hunting rifles but so far, my results are not very impressive...

So, yeah, any help regarding this matter from you folks, will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards.

Depends on which country you are interested in going to.
Check what is required to leave France with your gun and get it back in first of all.
There is a host of information on this web site about particular countries.
If it is South Africa just do a search for SAPS forms.

Should not be any problem, I have met french hunters at the SAPS (South African Police) office in Johannesbourgh Airport doing the paperwork for the temporary import of their firearms.
