What do you think is the best area for Eland (not Derby) and the best offers you know?

Cape Eland are widespread across South Africa.
With regard to best prices I think if you have to travel far from
Johannesburg airport or take a extra flight you will get eland cheaper

Is it a trophy or do you just want to shoot an eland ?

I think you have to look at the vegatation, water and management of the property you are going to hunt. There are big eland shot in Namibia, Botswana, RSA, Zimbabwe and Mozambique...etc.

i would say namibia at this point and time probably has the upper hand on better eland trophies according to rowland ward top 10 lists, to name a view a 48 1/2 " livingstone eland and 46 6/8" cape eland, this is only if you go by record books,

Willem is probably right on the money about the "cheaper" trophy fee after another flight from JNB.

The fees will be a little lower where the Eland is found in its natural habitat.
Easier to raise, less loses, etc. etc.

Bottom line, you have to add all the costs up to compare ($) properly and also, but that is not the whole question really. What style of hunt do you want?

There are lots of Eland in RSA and plenty of folks on AH that offer them on their price lists.

E is right about distribution. There are big Eland. So, does your "best area" have to have record book animals or good representative animals.

Namhunter has it on RW list too.
But, not everyone lists their trophies either.
