I just prefer the ones with deeper curl.
One with horns used for ear protection.
The guy on the right is flat and just goes out wide. Not my favourite.

The easy way for the client to identify a really good bull is to listen rather than look...... I call it the f**k factor. If the PH looks at a bull & the first word out of his mouth is f*****k, then you know it's a corker.

FWIW the old theory about dagga boys was disproved 20 odd years ago when scientific research proved all mature bulls spend their time taking turns to visit the nearby herds to breed & then when too tired to continue will return to the bachelor herd that tend to frequent mudholes etc. The biggest & longest study into this was in the Manyara region of Tanzania.

IMO Age should be the largest determining factor in trophy quality, after age has been checked look at spread, inches are not one of the deal breakers (for myself at least on Buff).
My best always.

I just could not resist, I spend a couple of days in Ngorogoro in Tanz last year and got this awesome bull on camera, I almost fainted and myself and Reinhard had to have 6 beers each on this one just to regain focus, we looked at him for almost an hour!!!
A special moment for the two of us. Eat your hearts out guys!!!!!!
My best always

Here are a couple of nice bulls from Kruger. I took these photos east of Satara. How do you guys like these two?
I'm not sure why those didn't show on here. If you simply click on the links above, you'll see the pictures of these two fine bulls.
