I have finally had time to get my "killing chair" dusted off after a couple of years.

The last 3 weeks 25 jackal bit the dust.

The Killing Chair, Fox Pro Spitfire and 22K Hornet combination worked like magic.

Here are a few photos of last Saturday's session.

    Jackal Female

She weighed 18lbs and I would guess she was about 4 to 5 years old.

Next stand this jackal male came in

He weighed 17lbs and would judge him about 2 years old.

On my last stand I called a pair out from in between cattle.

Quick shooting ensured a nice double

The male on the right weighed in at a whopping 25lbs !!! They dont often get that big.

Would guess he is about 5 to 6 years old

The female weighed in at 17lbs and was two years.

As always its a lot of fun to spend time under African Stars

Great set up Gerhard! Do you flip a coin to sit in the "killing chair" or do you have a designated driver?

Nice shooting. If you call the Jackals do you place a net over your vehicle or do you leave you vehicle as it is.

    I do it solo.

Drive to the spot where I want to call from and then get the Foxpro out and get into the "gunner chair".

Do the calling, spot light and shooting from the chair.

    No,

I do not put anything on the vehicle.

Have called jackal during full moon conditions from the back of the white pick up truck.

What sort of calls are you playing from your Foxpro?
