The Small Five
What constitutes the Small Five of Southern African antelope ?
My son already has a Rowland Ward Steenbok and wishes to pursue the other four with his .243W.Time spent in Reconnaisance is never wasted.

He will need to add: Duiker, Grysbok, Suni & Oribi
Of course there are different sub-species: Grey Duiker, Red Duiker etc.I have walked in the tracks of the elephant, heard the lion roar and met the buffalo on his terms. I shall never be the same.

It is a very interesting challenge... not easy to complete after you finish with duiker and steenbok... the easier ones....
Another interesting challenge is the "Springbok Grand Slam", if you have a RW trophy of Common Springbok, White Springbok, Black Springbok and Copper springbok ; a nice colourfull collection.

I have common duiker, steenbok, klipspringer (one of my most treasured memories), and Cape Grysbok. This spring I hope to catch up to a red duiker, oribi, blue duiker, and yellow back duiker in CAR. I really enjoy the "Tiny" ones. Great hunts in some beautiful country.
