I was there in September and everything was fine. Fuel and food available. No problems on the road at all. You can tell it's been a rough road, but things were ok. What area will you be hunting?

I was in Zim three months ago for a couple of weeks.
Flew in to Bulawayo and overnighted there. The next morning we ran a couple of errands in Bulawayo. I then traveled 7 hours by car to Omay North at Lake Kariba.
After spending 9 days in camp I chartered by air to Harare. I stayed at House Harrison for several nights. During that time I walked to a shopping center several times that was several blocks away. I also visited a high school friend that has lived there since 1985. She is married and her children still live in Zim also.
I never felt unsafe. There is fuel at the service stations. There are groceries on the shelf.
I am going back this year for a longer trip with my wife.
