Doing some deduction here on the "focus":
Tap has expressed a desire publicly to hunt some species far beyond your typical first timers quarry.
Leopard or two, Crocs, Sable, Elephant, etc etc.
Lion, Jacques obviously PM'd him on that one, Louis too probably.
He has also let out his past budgets...
Willingness to go to various countries, etc.
A client wanting high end species is exactly what most outfitters/PH's dream of.
Someone who can afford, or is willing to spend a significant amount on hunting and is going to return with more friends.
Perfect target don't you think...Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!

all I need to know is how many 1 dollar bills do you think I need to bring.
Enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date.

He also said something about a bush pig special. Needing a bait pile ......maybe that's where the dollar bills come in.

So, not to derail this thread. I'll go at it this way.
Did you get a PM from Koedoeberg?
Did you get an offer in that PM?
What have you done to check them out?
In very little time i have found out a few things that I did not know of late.
Full Membership in PHASA
W.S. FAUL KOEDOEBERG SAFARIS Koedoeberg
phasa koedoeberg.jpg
AH:
Willem has consulted me on a few occasions. Simple honest questions and opinions requested from him.
He has never PM'd me an offer.
Todays research:
He is in the investment industry. Options is his field "Head Managed Client trading Strategies"
His firm recently moved offices to newer nicer digs.
The offices are in Johannesburg. If you follow his email address you can find where he hangs his shingle.
Bio from the Corporate website, which references Koedoeberg.

He likes to hunt.
The hunting side:
He has disclosed an ongoing development of the farm.
Koedoeberg has been around on the web since 2008-07-11.
Registered at physical address.
Willem Faul Business Address.jpg
His Koedoeberg website is honest and factual as you can imagine.
To show the actual farm size, layout etc. Says its a farm house, etc.
It's all there.
Koedoeberg
If you read reports here on AH:
Hunt with Koedoeberg
Fantastic hunt with Koedoeberg Safaris!
Koedoeberg Game Lodge
Being in the investment industry I think he might have a grasp of making "value for money" offers.
Hence the deeply discounted offers that show up here.
Here's another interesting indicator, (at least to me):
If he can sell JGRaider on hunting with him, Willem must be very good.
Read JG's posts, you'll see what I mean.

I am sure if I really tried you could find more.....
good luck.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!

Hi Brickburn,
Thanks for the great intel. I have also looked in our data base. I have also put out inquiries on other websites. I will ask for referrals both successful and otherwise. In my years of hunting I have seen it all. The elk hunting industry is loaded with ""Bad Actors". I got extremely lucky as my first trip was with Motsomi Safaris and it was just heaven. I am going back in June. I will always go back but I do like to see different lodges as variety is the spice of life. Where ever I go I will post a full review here with lots of information and photos. As i do for Greys I will talk about everything. From comfort of the bed to how clean and warm the pool was. Information is power. We invest so much of ourselves in a big way. It permeates our dreams , hangs upon our hopes and takes away other options that the money used on the safari expends. So brick thanks for the start. I will keep everyone posted on how this evolves. Whom I picked and why. Finally how it all turns out. Should be fun.

Hey Bob ,
A new hunting partner would be great. The old one died so that would be great. He left some stuff like an old range finder and such. Naturally they go with the new partner. His wife is really not part of the deal but she said she is open minded.
thanks-Jerry
