If it is not real the person doing the photoshop was really good.
Neat photo, one way or the other.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!

I'm no expert, but I can't imagine Kruger Park that green in May + some of the trees look rather foreign to me,
not indigenous to that area...would love to hear from a Flora expert

Shot by a friend in Phalaborwa. Had a lot of rains this year, been dry for the last few months.

Not only that, but what are the odds of seeing all of those mature males together? And, in such perfect shape with full manes and no scars and marks? Awesome picture....Definitely photo-shopped though.....It reminds me of that YouTube video of the chimp with the AK-47 shooting up the camp...

They all look young to me but what do I know I live in AZ and the only lions we have do not carry manes :-) Although I have seen 4 in one group slowly walk in front of my truck in the wide open (no cover for 500 yds anywhere) near Morenci AZ at 12 noon.

Cliffy agreed all youngsters, (nothing older than 2,5 years most probably younger) most definitely not mature big cats very possible, I'd say, looks like a collection of gwarrie in the back ground or something similar I use to build Leopard blinds, mainly found clumped up together on river banks such as this one in the picture, anyone considered that the picture might have been taken shortly after a shower and possibly not around Phalaborwa but a little further SOUTH????
Male lion siblings often stay together after being forced to leave the pride by the resident dominant males, usually when they reach 2ス to 3 years old. They will then live a nomadic life as young bachelors until old and strong enough to compete for a territory of their own, where they will have the benefit of working as a team in challenging a pride's resident male or males.
In super parks such as Kruger prides can consist of any number of lions research has shown that prides can total up to 40 cats.
Cool Pic Saeng, I say it is possible but thats just my opinion, thanks for posting.
My best always.

The friend that shot these is not a technology geek so have doubted he photo shopped the pic. His wife said they were South of Sabi and into the park a ways when they saw this. I agree that the ground looks very wet. I have no clue what the rains are like there but can tell you that it has been one dry year in Natal, that changed quickly last night.
