Say no more.....!
SOUTH AFRICA: PROBABLY THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHERE THE PILOTS DRIVE A PASSENGER PLANE LIKE IT IS A 20-SEATER MINI-BUS TAXI!
B737-200 at Hoedspruit, South Africa.
The 叢reviously disadvantaged black pilot of this B737-200 landed at Hoedspruit (ex air force base) in the dark.
And he proceeded to take the wrong taxiway.
Having arrived at a dead end he then attempted to turn around by reversing (using reverse thrust).
He misjudged and put the main gear off the concrete. It then rolled back down the bank. He then tried to climb out using full power.
Of course with the engines that close to the ground, they ingested grass, stones, mud, sticks, dust, sand, etc.
If it wasn稚 raining - the jet blast could set fire to the surrounding bush.

can any-one verify the wheather on that day?

This plane was on lease and was due to be turned back in, the reason it was painted in livery colour. The plane was a total as the engines, trashed, were worth more than the hull. While it was kept quiet due to affirmative goals there is a tale that the black pilot kept his license and is with a carrier today.

I am trying to get cear in my own litte mind the consequences and ramifications of such an event were it to have occurred in the USA!
Following something like this the first casualty would be parking.... with the FAA, National Safety and all the freaking lawyers and media folks in attendance,
The I read the post again and see it was a "black" pilot so I have no idea where Jackson, Sharpton Waters and Holder would park!
You just look at something like this and say "Hmmmm""He even took the gramophone on safari. Three rifles, provisions for a month and . . . . Mozart"

If you do it in front of a cANCer it does, holding a picture of the Spear assures it.
Forgot to say that I had an original copy of the incident report to the CAA, the story is actually worse than the shortened version. I have been a pilot for 35 years, and could never imagine even doing one of the things this clown did.

Sure as hell glad I wasn't on that plane they wouldn't have to worry about letting him keep his job they would be to busy trying to figure out how to get my hands from around his neck.
Enjoy life now -- it has an expiration date.
