I would have to say they are both about the same freshness, although the ungulate looks a bit newer. ????
Lion spoor with ,416 Rigby comparison
Leopard spoor comparison with an average hand
What spoor is this?
[This is maybe a difficult one and I personally can only guess..]
B - looks like a type of dog track, so my swag is hyena
C - if it were in N.America I'd be thinking bear
Haven't a clue, can you tell? Africa has so many forms of wildlife in any one location, I can't tell.
a)springbok b)black backed jackel, could be a bat eared fox c) spotted hyena, I don't think it's a lion
I am pretty sure I am completely wrong, but just to be a rebel, is there a baboon involved at all with any of these tracks? Damn I hope I'm not humiliating myself but hey, I had to give it a try. Still waiting on the confirmation of the original tracks. Observe? I really need to know so I can stop obsessing over this. Re the track with the .416 round, leopard? In my opinion defo feline. Bet you guys are laughing at me...
Oh and for some of the other prey tracks; I think a very small antelope, like a klipspringer or duiker-type. I dunno. This is driving me crazy! I am done commenting on this thread until I have all of the answers to the original posts by Observe. Done I say!! Dammit! Sigh. Jane need official answer to original question or Jane not learn!
Hahaha! Told ya I'm nuts. :)
And yes Jane you are 100% correct there is a baboon involved, his handle is Observe!
Aaah Bobpuckett, you got me! LOL!
I'm also bored here far away from my beloved country, and are keeping myself sane and entertained by playing these mind games with you guys. Thanks for playing along!
Jane, I would take an educated guess on that first photo and would go with 'kudu'
I took that other photo [ no C ] in the shade of Kranskop in the Nylsvley [near Nylstroom in Limpopo]
Giiven the location,my guess is Aardvark maybe??
can you spot the deer?
[maybe not a very fair question due to its size, but take your best guess!]
i dont know how to enlarge the photo more:o
answer to follow....
Is it standing just to the right of the black triangle at 10 o'clock?
Far left behind the windfall tree facing camera.
I need a bigger monitor. LOL!
On my monitor, about an inch to the right of the closest tree in the picture?
lol, i'm playing with you guys now.....:happywave:
