When my skinner want to shoot my .416 Ruger - Hartzview Hunting Safaris
Good day everybody,
Thought you guys will enjoy the video, it happened after we hunted a nice Blue wildebeest bull when the skinners arrived to pick it up after we took pictures. One of the guys saw my short barreled .416 Ruger leaning against a tree. He told me that he wants to shoot this "small" gun so I gave it to him...... Here's the results!
Hope you enjoy!

jacques you should have asked him if he would like to try the big gun now...
we did the same with a tracker in west zambezi in zambia. i had a .454 casull revolver and we thought it would be a bit of fun to get him to shoot it. he took it and held it in a perfect 2 handed grip and shot it perfectly , handed it back and said "ah very nice" and walked off leaving us with our mouths open .... we reckoned he must have been trained by swapo as this was in 1990.

hahaha I will wait untill I have a client with a .460 Weatherby and ask him to shoot again.... lol
Irony of the whole comedy is that I tried to help him hold the gun properly etc but he replied that he has shot before and he know exactly what he is doing..... hahahaha
Good laughs, I think this is the kind of thing that also makes a memories on a safari.....
Hope everybody has a great day!
Best regards,

Jaques
Must compliment you on the quick reaction you showed in being able to catch the gun before it touches the ground. That is every gun owners fear- a rifle falling to the ground (they are to precious) , cant hurt those babies
Cheers

Nice one, Jaques..
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted.

He was never going to get hurt by that discharge. He was not actually holding the rifle.

Good reflexes Jacques.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!
