Looking for a good gunsmith for a Browning lever rifle trigger job...
My gunsmith is very over-extended @ present. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith familiar with Browning Lever rifle triggers? The trigger on mine is way too creepy & heavy. Thanks!

You can try Midwest Gunworks. They specialize in Browning and if I'm not mistaken they are an authorized service center. I've used them for Browning repairs, they're great! There is also Art's Gunshop who also specializes in Browning restoration. I'm sure one of them could help with your Browning. Below are their websites. Good luck!

I got a reply about a BLR trigger specialist on another site. Neil Jones in Saegertown Pa. has developed tools/parts to get BLR triggers to about 2 1/2 lbs. of pull. My gun is in his hands. He has a website.

I'm a little late here. Neil Jones is a great trigger man for ANY rifle. I think he even did work on one of my brothers rifles. He is very well known in the gun community for his trigger work. If he can't fix it no one can.

I just got my BLR back from Neil Jones. Wow! Clean, crisp trigger @ 2.5 lbs. Didn't think it was possible (Neither did the Browning rep. @ SCI in Reno; said its not do-able. Ha!)

I just pulled one of these Brownings out of the safe to do some shooting and almost gave it away (it was a gift to me) the trigger was so heavy it forces you to yank it.
Where is Neil Jones Cousin up here in Canada?Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!

Glad it worked out. Never doubted NJ would get it right...triggers are his specialty.
