I would like a PH that is already motivated and a fair price. If it takes extra money to get someone to do his job right I would look for another PH.Some say this is a cheap price for this hunt I say it is about right in my eyes.Hunting is becoming to much about who has the money to spend for certain animals. To me a lepard comes and goes as he wants. But someone gets to set a trophy fee for an animal that they did not raise or buy to place on there ranch.I understand they need to apply for the permit and have cost but they pass that on to the hunter. To me it seems more like people taking advantage of the limited tags and making money on it.From what I can tell leporad hunts have seem to have peaked out and always some around at this discount rate. This is just my thoughts.

i believe that you are missing the point BillC... Not to be blatant but then Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes Benz, jaguar and Volvo should all be priced simmilar to KIA they all have wheels and get you from a - b although some break down far more often, it is not a matter of what we would like to think but rather a matter of getting the best for the money/$ invested.
It has been proven in the past. With the utmost respect to all who read this.....
My very best at all times.

Not sure which point I missed.I was not just talking about this hunt.I have seen it to many times when talking about hunting africa on here and other sites. If you dont pay top price for a hunt your not going to get a great hunt.I dont want to make this post go bad and hope someone buys it soon.I think this is a great chance for someone to get a great hunt at a fair price.

bill with leopard it doesnt matter if you dont raise/buy it ( if it lives on a private reserve/ranch it is eating your animals which have a value, so in a way you are feeding it), and if its in a govnt area the game dept sets their licence fees that the operator has to purchase.the fact is that the operators get limited quota on them and certain other species. this means they are not going to sell the hunts for these species for the same prices as for species that they have larger quotas for. in certain countries there are minimum days you have to hunt by law to be allowed to take leopard or other species. unfortunately if there is a limited amount of most things they tend to be more expensive.

Very true spike sorry billc did not mean to offend, why should a Leopard (I am not referring to a cancelled hunt) but from the start off......if an outfitter or ph as it is mostly is .........take leopard on a continual basis sell them for cheap, my question is why not for the most difficult specie in Africa to obtain, why not, for a specie with tag availability much lower than most and part of the big 5 and dangerous 7 my question once again is why not.......
To begin with my point was to adress the fear/concern of hunters coming to Africa and not getting Leopard and a solution that I and many other ph's and outfitters have offered that's all.
My best...

Jaco no offense taken at all.I respect your comments alot.I can tell you that if you talk to enough kia owners you will find some happy ones.LOL Now us toyato owners were all happy.I guess we just think differently and all because you can is not a good enough reason for me.I could charge more for my work but I get a fair price stay busy and make a living.I do the best work I can for the money and give better service that most who charge more.I guess my biggest problem is just thinking because you pay someone more your getting more.Sometime it is the case other times you can get more for less with some good searching.

I want to offer some info on hunting leopard in Namibia. The leopards are causing havoc with calves on the farms. They just bite them and most off the time they die. This is a great loss to the farmers. At least the trophy fee they receive makes up for that loss. I can assure you that most off the outfitters are cattle farmers and instead of poisoning the leopards they rather hunt them to compensate for their loss. Some farms the leopards nearly wiped out the spring buck and blesbuck. So again a big loss.

Looks like this hunt is sold. I will update if it isn't but there should be a deposit on the way.
