Wow... wish I would have come across this sooner, I could do a marco polo/ibex at that price. Not enough time to get everything arranged and get the CITES permit though... Bummer!!!

FYI, Buyer beware. I booked a hunt through Igor and hunted with his contact in Kyrgyzstan for Ibex this past September, 2012. On that hunt we were arrested by the police because the outfitter did not properly fill out all the necessary paperwork or had the proper Governmental Person along on the hunt to make sure the outfitter hunted correctly. With the arrest they also confiscated our trophies of the Horns and the capes of the Ibex. The outfitter assured us that he would get back the trophies and ship them at his expense in 2 weeks and that we would not have to pay him the balance of the hunt until we received the trophies. On my return I notified Igor of this as he was the booking agent/ part owner of this operation. Igor then changed the date to December. Well guys December is here and now Igor and his outfitter want us to pay them in full for our hunt before they will ship us the promised trophies. I believe they just want to suck us out of our money and not ship us the hunted trophies we took. I believe the skins are bad or damaged at this point and they will be shipping us either rotten skins or someone else's animals not our own. First off Kyrgyzstan is a corrupt country and everyone should not be trusted, secondly Igor made all of these promises that he runs this outfitter and he calls the shots with him. Instead of making the situation right , he as added to the shamelessness of asking for our payments before we have our possessions in hand ( Bribery !!!) Now to add to all of this I was promised and set with our Booking Agent Igor, that we would combine our Ibex hunt with a Roe Deer hunt, well guess what again. The outfitter made every excuse in the book to not take us on the Roe Deer hunt , The Deer hunt that was booked with Igor. Igor uses this web site as free advertising for his bookings and uses the cancellation hunt as a means of attracting clients. We bit on this and got screwed. I can tell you that his pricing he states in the cancellation is exactly the same deal you can get from the outfitter anytime, it is no savings, they are trying to get you to fill an open spot.. If you want more info PM me back here on this forum. There were three of us on this hunt and I will get the other as well to post theirs on here too.

Igor,
I'm not going to use this forum to go back and forth. But I can post emails from you asking for $900 dollars from the three of us hunters and you would send our trophies. Now in your reply here you are asking for more again. Most hunters are able to see through this and can determine that your asking for money and holding our trophies against what Adilet and us three hunters agreed upon at the end of our hunt. Adilet promised that we didn't have to pay him anymore of the balance of our hunt as the mistake for us getting arrested and having our trophies confiscated. That he would ship them to us and once we saw that our trophies were in good shape that we could send the balance of what we owed to you and him. If this was not the case why or how could we have left the country and the hunt without paying for what we owed at that time. Adilet and yourself Igorare more interested in getting your money than trying to make right the mistake that was made on our hunt. It Shows that your more interested in the money than providing a quality service. In the long run you will lose new clients. I do see the your now posting our picture of the Ibex you refuse to send us.

Steve,
Yes, 900$ ( 300x3=900USD) you have not payd in Bishkek for hunting fees...
3800USD -
1500 trophy fee
+2300 hunting fee
2000USD is you many bank transfer for hunting fee,
but you told me that 300USD you will pay in Bishkek cash ( airport Bishkek), but did not make this.
three hunters x 300USD = 900USD
So you must pay 1500USD -trophy fee
+ 300USD hunting fee= 1800USD
And you have a free shipment to USA
Is it correct?

Igor,
Yes you are correct on the fee's. But not on what was a greed too with your outfitter in Bishkek. No hunter out there would send you the balance due for a hunt that went the way it did, unless they know for sure that their hunting trophies are in good shape. The day of our arrest and detainment in Karacal Kyrgyzstan, we had a sat phone with us. We contacted Adilet numerous times asking to come to straighten this out with the police as we were detained. He kept saying his father was on his way, 4 times he said he was going to come or his father to straighten the mess they put us into and correct it. Well I can say the neither Adilet or his father ever showed up to bail us out or to help us in anyway. I believe they felt that they too would have been arrested. That day the temps in town were in the 70'd F. The skins were held for a week without being properly salted or cared for before Adilet said they were picked up. Something I'm not completely sure was ever done... So I have a concern for the shape the hide/cape is in at this point. I have said from day one that I would gladly pay for the costs associated for the hunt in full. I had the money along in cash for the entire payment for the hunt as well as further cost to be associated for the Roe Deer hunt that never happened either. I had made arrangements with the US Fish and Game Department in advance of our hunt to gain entry into the US for the horns and skins. I had every intention on taking my trophies back with me on my return flight. I was the one who at all time was going to keep my end of the hunt , the booking and the costs at all times. It was Adilet who knew they made a mistake on the hunt who did not accept our money at the end of the hunt as sign of good faith and offered to make things right by stating he would send the trophies to us in 2 weeks time at his cost and that payment once we received the trophies could be made to you , Igor, once we have had shipment in hand. I'm sure the court of public opinion would agree that yourself as well as the outfitter should have gone out of your way to insure that our trophies were well taken care of , shipped to us and would expect that hunters who have profound ethics would be honorable and keep to their work and pay you in full as all three of us hunters have stated from the beginning. It is you Igor and your outfitter in Bishkek that are greedy and unprofessional that you are changing the game after the start of the hunt. You are a booking agent, you are representing your clients to the outfitter, your morals should be set to a high standard. I believe this is not the case. Us three hunters have been wronged, by you, your outfitter as well as numerous government officials of the country of Kyrgyzstan. You can threaten me to not ship my trophies all you want, as all who read this will know that you are the one who is wrong. If you do not ship them everyone will eventually know that you are not to be trusted and in the end you will have to live with your choices.

Like I said guys. Use an Escrow account. No trophies, no pay. Trophies show the money is released from escrow. That should work for both of you. Bruce

Igor,
I thank you for showing the pictures of the Horns. It would also be nice to see that the capes are in good condition too. SO if you can get or have pictures of them please post . I will go this far in reconciling this issue. Us three hunters will place in escrow all the money we owe for the hunt with our import broker in Chicago Coppersmith. You can verify that they are holding this money and then ship our trophies (Capes and Horns ) to Coppersmith, once we receive the shipment and can confirm that the skins and horns our in good shape the import broker, Coppersmith will release the money to you for payment in full.
I have been contacted by several Forum Members here by PM and they all agree that this would be a fair way for both of us to each get what we want from this deal. SO I am willing to do this if you will agree to this as well.
Please post a reply .

I hope this issue resolves in a proper and satisfaying manner to all involved, Kyrgysztan is a beautiful country and does need hunting to preserve its precious game, with out hunters from around the globe it will be hard to keep the game populations safe and huntable for future generations.
I need to insist that both parties do an extra effort to solve this issue for the sake of the game and the future of hunting in such a magical place.NEW SCI CHAPTER MONTERREY MEXICO
