Jerome, I guess those rules are just not bold enough for people to read.
Perhaps you could make a mandatory link to be able to post a new thread under the great offers heading.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!

Somehow having a gateway before posting a new thread in the offer.
For instance:
Differentiate buttons:
"New thread" vs "reply to thread" post.
To post a new thread you have to go through the rules and agree to follow them.
Something like many sites have about reading the privacy agreement etc.
you have to click on a button at the bottom of the "rules" /"agreement" page.
Of course there is no guarantee that they will do it one way or the other.
Just an idea.Practice whispering before you leave for Africa!
A Legend in my own mind!

How about a format anyone wanting to post a hunt most fill out or the post will not show.If they fill out all the info then they get to make the post after the details of what you require for hunt info.

I do appreciate all of the inputs, certainly lots of great ideas here, some more feasible to implement than others but I don't think that any of this will change some of the outcome of the posts on AH in these two sections... Also the more rules and steps the more complicated it gets and the fewer the posts and the more non-conforming the posts become as a result. These two sections have already evolved a lot and have become better since conception, we'll see where the future takes us... Thanks for all of your suggestions.

Be Reasonable friends
Ok, I conclude that the rules were not followed by myself in the post. Let's look at what is expected from AH for a post to be in compliance with the rules? In stead of deleting or discussing the post or the reason therefore, rather supply a fellow colleague with an example of the format of a post, or just send me a pro forma to work from so that we can all prevent this from happening again. I'm also trying to play my part in the AH community, please advise how I can play a more effective roll.
Please take this into consideration as I would like to get my post up again as soon as possible.

I might infer that steyn isn't exactly computer savy and that may be his problem. My father is exactly the same way and only uses computers because he has to. If this is the case steyn then let me help.
Jerome posted the following
HUNTING OFFER - POSTING SUGGESTIONS
_________| | | | | | | | | | | | | |
That is a link that you click on in order to view what info must be posted so that your ad can be viewed. Basically you need the name of the ranch being hunted. Who has the hunting rights, your ph license # or license # of ph conducting the hunt. What the total price is. What is included and what is excluded, length of the hunt etc.
If you do know how to work a computer and I have offended you then I'm sorry. I honestly am only trying to help.
Tony
