SOUTH AFRICA: My Hunt With Hunter Hill Safaris

Hi Lapaiki39, That is a Suppressor on the end of the Rifle that John was using. At Huntershill they have several of these rifles set up that way they are quite common in Africa. when I setup hunts for friends I offer them the use of a rifle free of charge and ammo at cost just in case they don't want to hassel with taking one through Customs. Bob

Hi John thought you might enjoy this. Does this area look familiar?

I hunted the Caracal with dogs, The first day the dog worked a jackal that went into a hole before I had a chance to shoot. The second day we had a lite rain this helped the dog get the scent, and the hunt was on,this is great to see the dogs work. about 7 A.M. the dogs treed the cat and gave me the shot. the area I shot was an area that the Copper springbucks ware having there young at this time, so my shooting the cat saved some springbucks as well. The dogs realy wanted that cat. John

Thank you Bob that looks like the Lechwe that I shot. John

That is it. I was hunting Eland in the same area in June when we jumped him out of the brush.

Congrats on a great safari, looks like you had a great time. Jealous of your porcupine they make a great trophy , I've been trying to get one for years now.

Thanks John, I'm thinking of booking a hunt with them. Your review is very helpful.

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
