Hey guys,Do you use trail camera for hunting ? Which brand you use ? Hunting season is coming,I am looking a new trail cam,but there are so many brand in the market,i don't know what to buy.
Any suggestions ?

gday chriss
welcome and enjoy the site mate
l use a couple of different types of tree cameras
on public land which is where most hunting in Australia is done l just go on ebay and wait till an auction is finishing and get the cheapest one there .coz they go missing regularly
on private land I use a better quality one and these get knocked off randomly aswell
but lately ive got 2 real good ones but they were 500$ each and have sony s600 cameras in them with super bright flashes and a battery system that last months and every pic is coloured .over here you gotta be careful where you put these ones and l havnt had one go missing yet .
when im on ebay ,l try to get moultries or lil acorns as they are sometimes cheap as chips and the photos are pretty good .
now l get my young bloke to weld up a cage for them and chain them to trees .
the last one that went missing was on private property and the pricks chopped the tree down to get the bloody thing

Hi Bluey, thanks, that is really a good idea.I will search on ebay to see if i can get what i want.It will be used in Public land,I use Aconrn 5210 before, but it works not very well,i want something new,but i don't have a big budget,500$ is too much for me.Some one recommended me the wide angle cameas ,that is the newest camera this year, moultries seems to have,do you know that ?

I also heard something about wide angle cameras. Camera's lens can be over 100 degree wide, Moultries up to 150 degree, Bestok(I don't whether this brand) up to 120 degree.

Yes,I have googled the Bestok you mentioned, the item is M660G ,right ? Seems amazing !

Good quality photos for sure,lm wondering if the detection range is that good all the time or the shrub in the top left hand of most of the photos is triggering it off?

Will know. I have bought one,and waiting for it.I will share the test result here.

that would be good , thanks chriss
just put it where the elk or big mulies are at .
once you find them I will come on over and give you a hand to thin em out a bit , hey. ha ha ha :biggrin2::thumb:

my young bloke sent me this photo of nice samba stag resting just off a wallow , the camera was turned about 45 degrees from where it was faced .
im guessing ,a deer rubbed its scent on the cam and twisted it .
he has your name on him bob, but you better be quick mate as the wallow is 5 minutes from my front gate
there was a few good pictures on the s.d card but this is all he sent me .

it is a home brew made by a mate near home .
the camera inside the box is a sony s600 cybercam .
these camera are chose for their real bright flash .

I got a Spypoint IR 7 from the US that one of my clients brought over. I didn't want to spend to much as I'd like to get a few. Very happy, it takes amazing pictures
