SOUTH AFRICA: BOWHUNT: A Quiver Full of Memories

What a great write up, really got a feeling of how much this trip meant to you. Its thing like this that make my 364 day wait even harder. Loved the pictures and story. I imagine you could have written a lot more about your trip and all the things you will never forget. thanks for sharing and fueling my fire.

Great report Mike! Awesome photos and interesting write up. Im ready to go back with you...!

Thanks for the report. Your discriptions in the begining put me right there with you and brought me back to my trip. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and congrats on a sucessfull hunt!

Great report Stretch! ............... Now if Brick will finish with his spotty cat story maybe he'll let us in on his Kanana adventure as well.

It is interesting to read a report about a blind that you were just sitting in before the writer arrived.

I left these guys behind, and it appears Stretch did as well.. :)

I'll get there with both.... honest.

It is work to walk after Eland, but very rewarding when you succeed.

Wow! Brick that second Kudu looks like he would go mid 50s easy that would be hard to pass.

Yeah that second one is a dandy! Symmetrical, tips out, 2 plus turns. Curls are shallow though, probably just 50 or a tad over maybe. Still a beaut and a taker.

I was not being overly generous really to Stretch.

I did have the bow in the blind and was actively thinking it through.

There was at least twenty Kudu that had come in at this point. The wind was perfect. Straight form the east..

I was waiting for him to clear and present a better shot when one of his little brothers decided it was time to come and see what was inside the blind..

I never got a picture of the offender because I had the bow in my hands.

He literally walked into the south window and was working on sticking his nose in the window when he finally smelled me.

That was it....

An explosion of water and poof, Stretch would have his chance. :)

Kal - You hit it on the head. This trip was transcendental for me. Many thanks.

Tom - I am glad you liked my report. You are responsible for helping me in make this trip go so smooth. I appreciate what you did.

RickB - You are very welcome for the memory jog. After all memories are all we really have. Our memories are inside us and the neat thing is we can take them with us anywhere and reflect on them any time. I am grateful for your comments.

Diamonhitch - I went with no expectations. There is joy is everything no matter what happens. I am a lucky man. Ya, could say I am hooked. Been talking about nothing but returning. That I will do. Many thanks buddy.

firehuntfish - Good to hear you and your wife had a good hunt. Can't wait for your report! Glad you enjoyed the pics. i look at them daily. Hope you get some sleep. Jet lag is just your body's way of telling you that you need some sleep to dream about Africa. Many thanks

I want to thank you Jerome for without this venue we could share all of our dreams. The information I was able to gather because of all the kind AH members and your website paid dividends allowing me to properly plan as well as ramp up the anticipation to a froth. Many thanks to you Jerome.

Thanks for the kind words Stretch, it always makes me happy to hear that the site is so valuable and enjoyable to people.
