hello my name is Craig I have just booked my very first African safari to Namibia for the last week April and the first week in May of 2015 I live in the wilds of central New York.I have spent hours pouring through this website and believe it is time to jump in now.this has to be the friendliest in the most informative forum I have ever read.I still have almost 2 years to go but im coming unglued already .I am looking forward to future discussions but will pace myself so as not to be overcome by excitement and suffer some kind of catastrophic medical condition.I know you don't know me yet but I feel as if I have gotten to know some of you and I am looking forward to getting to know you better

I have booked with erongo lodge near omaruru namibia I will be there for 14 days with roughly half of them for hunting in the other half for relaxing and doing a couple of toursmy wife is going with me so it is very important to me that she enjoys the experience as much as I dootherwise I would prefer to spend every waking moment huntingthis has been a dream of mine for many years.my wishlist is a kudu gemsbok Springbok and maybe blessbuck.I know several people locally who have hunted with that lodge and they have told me I should not leave without at least trying for a mountain zebra so I believe I am going to add that to my list although I am less concerned with collecting trophies and just want to enjoy the experience of being in Africa with my wife who is non hunter.we have been together since we were 14 years old and she will be going along on all of the hunts as an observer.and I am very excited after all these years to finally share this part of my life with her that I am so passionate about.

Welcome to the site Craig! I love reading the enthusiasm in your posts. Enjoy it all. You'll only have one "first safari". I promise, it won't be your last.
