Hey fellows,

I have been fortunate to have experienced a couple of great plains game safaris in Africa in the past year and in the process of taking multiple animals within the same species some upgrading of my trophies to be mounted has occurred. Therefore, I have accumulated some extra capes from Kudu, Blue Wildebeest and Eland that I will not be using. These have been nicely skinned and salted for pedestal mounting by the guys at Kanana Safaris, with plenty of extra hide intact, and will ship to me in the Southeastern United States in my dip & pack crate from Mochaba Taxidermy in Botswana.

If anyone has a need for some good quality capes from these species, I have 2 Kudu, 2 Blue Wildebeest and 1 Eland available. All are very nice bulls and I have photos of each. They are in fact shown in my hunt report from August 2012, which this link will take you to: http://www.africahunting.com/botswana-hunting-reports/8837-kanana-safaris-adventure-2012-a.html

One of the Blue Wildebeest was actually taken on my most recent trip this May. It is a very nicely marked cape in great condition and I can provide a photo of the animal both before and after the kill.

I apologize to those of you who may have been waiting on a report from my latest trip, but I simply haven't had the time to write anything up yet. You may rest assured that a great time was had by all, and I'll get around to telling the story soon enough!

If interested in a cape, please contact me via my email at jeffpg45@yahoo.com or pm me here.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff, Have you done a report on your 2013 hunt yet? Your 2012 report was fabulous.

Thank you sir, but I have not found the time to put anything together on my recent hunt yet. I'll try to remedy that asap, but I honestly don't know just when I'll get around to it.

I will say that it was a bit of a different experience this time, as I took my bow and mixed things up quite a bit by splitting my hunting time between the bow and rifle. It's amazing what you can see and learn about the game from a bow blind, but I get stir crazy pretty quick, lol.

I also took my girlfriend Laurie, who had never hunted except for taggin' along after squirrels with me when we were kids. I started her shooting a few months ago and she took to it like a champ. That practice really paid off when she picked up a crossbow and a rifle...

but I'm gettin' ahead of myself here, aren't I?

I may have just motivated myself to start puttin' some words and pics from the hunt together. It WAS a great time!

Congrats and that's really nice of you to offer these to AHers.
I could definitely use a Wildebeest cape but unfortunately I am in Canada so the paperwork and whatnot from the US makes it almost impossible. Im sure someone will put them to good use though.

Friends keep wanting me to take them to Africa for a plains game hunt.(They can't get their act together though) I had read a couple of reports about Kanana on the internet. Then I read your report and saw your trophies from 2012 and it sold me as a great place to take them.(Jason needs to give you a free kudu or eland for your report) At DSC in January I met Jason in Tom's booth. Got along with them well. The quality of the trophies, pricing, Kalahari location in Botswana make it a place I want to go. Brickburn will probably have another great report on Kanana starting in 3 weeks. I know I will like your 2013 report. You have at least one captivated reader!

Jeff, It is a great way to help out.

I offered some capes from my upcoming excursion to a fellow AH member, who obviously needed them after seeing his delivered trophies.

I hope he responds to my emails before I leave. I want to make sure he gets first kick at the can for anything we do not need.

Hope someone can take advantage of these offers.

Until this guy posts something on pay it forward free I would avoid him at all costs.

If it hasn't sold by next week I might be interested. Stock would have to be changed along with some other items. I'm already having a 416 Rigby built so money is a tad bit tight.

Hey pal! I'll take all the .375 bullets if they're available.
Thanks!
