If you have a little time watch Tracks Across Africa on Outdoor Channel at 4:30 PM Central time on Sunday the 16th. Ivan Carter drops a wounded elephant at his feet at the very end. Ivan is the man.

He handles that double rifle extremely well.

,,,Tracks across Africa is my favorite show only ahead of Dangerous Game! These are 2 shows that keep me going between Safari's & there is always something to learn! Craig Boddington puts out a great program, one that I hope doesn't end for many years!!!

DVD's

You can buy DVD's of the full seasons at Craig Boddington .com. I have bought quite a few of his books and dvd's, and have enjoyed them all.

That would be better than suffering through a bunch of the crap that is on the outdoor channel and paying for it. At least you would be paying for what you want to watch.

I have watched a couple of Craigs videos and they were good. There is the obligatory product references that one must do with sponsors, but over all they are better than most. Have a few of his books as well.

Sadly though I find that the hunting videos in general are not much better than day to day tv.........many are terrible junk and tasteless, but there are a few good people turning out some quality videos that are worth watching and help convey hunting in the right light.

Mike70560, Great episode! A close shave for sure. That's the most emotional I've seen Mr.Carter in any of the videos I have seen him. I guess that's what 13,000 pounds of angry pachyderm up close and personal will do to a man. Thanks big time to Craig Boddington for sharing his experiences on video in places that most of us would otherwise never be able to visit, let alone hunt.

While I love the show and often TiVo it if I'm out at the time it airs, I don't like the emphasis they put the Big 5. Most hunters that go to Africa can't afford a $15,000 leopard, a $30,000 male lion, or a $50,000 elephant. I would like to see them mix in more plains game for us "average folks."

I don't get many good african hunting shows here in the NorthEast. Looks like it's time to visit Boddington's website and order some!

hi there mstewart- thanks for the post and comment - one of the reasons we put such an emphasis on the dangerous game and "glamour game" is that truly its more exciting to watch - most of our folks who watch will probably never get to experience it and we feel honored to bring it to peoples homes on our show - anytime we have done a plainsgame only show , ratings drop and so we do show plainsgame regularly but usually mixed in with some dangerous game ...glad that you enjoy the show anyhow and i hope that this helps to explain our mix .....

Ivan...how do we access the programs in zim? Anything aired on DSTV that I've missed....of course you'll come under all sorts of local crit!! But the jackals always howl when the Lions feed!

+1
Slot it on DSTV so that we can watch it out here in Zambia too.

pete and ole bally , not sure what the plans with outdoor chamnel are regarding and affiliation with dstv - i will suer ask and will let you know ....regarding local flack - dont worry i doubt it will increase in volume :D we are asctually talking aboit putting together a best of tracks dvd for sale in africa but its hard to quantify how many people would actually buy it and its not a cheap think to produce - in the next few months we will be doing a poll on places like this , facebook etc and based on the numbers of people who say that they would be interested in such , we may produce one ..

thanks for posting gentlemen ...

I would be interested in it if you pass. Please send me the info on the gun shop if you do not buy it. I have the needed ammo and brass.
