I am considering using 350 grain Woodleigh projectiles for buff. The thing is I have noticed that the soft nose differ in BC to the solids. I would like to hear if anyone has tried these bullets.

Hi Richteb.
A friend of mine loaded these Woodlieghs in his .375 last year for use on our Aussie buff and reported excellent results.
The thing to remember with the Woodleighs is that they should only be loaded to the velocities reccomended on the pack.
When driven faster than the design speeds, they flatten out like a coin and do not penetrate very far, something we see on a semi-regular basis with the 416 Rigby users who are handloading the Woodlieghs at 2500 +.

The 350gn gives a little boost to your standard .375 and if you put that Woodliegh in the right spot you will hear your bull bawl, " awe, good shot mun".

Paul.

Paul,

A buf with an Australian accent....who'd a thunk it!

The 350grn Fmj bullets have fantastic penetration so make sure there's nothing of value behind the target. A great "follow up" bullet .

Does anyone know whether these 350 grain bullets would have a bigger impact effect than the 300 grain hydro by Woodleigh. Is there an advantage to the large expanding bullet over the monolithic solid that zips through?

I have loaded the Woodleigh 350gr. PP bullets which is a tougher bullet then the original Weldcore SN in my 375 Ruger. 2391fps and just under an 1" group. Haven't shot any game with it yet. They claim the 350gr bullet makes the 375 calber step up in class. Now they make a 350gr. Heavy SN bullet. I would imagine you would not have any problems with either the 350gr, PP or 350gr. heavy SN on a buff.

Until this guy posts something on pay it forward free I would avoid him at all costs.

If it hasn't sold by next week I might be interested. Stock would have to be changed along with some other items. I'm already having a 416 Rigby built so money is a tad bit tight.

Hey pal! I'll take all the .375 bullets if they're available.
Thanks!
