I am done posting about the tootabi subjects that are going on right now.For those who took my advance to talk with them and feel I did them wrong I am sorry for that but did not plan on hurting anyone.

I dont want to see things happen on this site that happens on others were members just kill each other to prove there points.I have my feelings on things everyone else can have theres also.I will just hope some stop always looking at a person making a mistake having reasons other then it was a honest mistake on there part.

For all who ever answered any of my post and tried to offer help I thank you.For those that start threads that make this the best site ever for us hunters I thank you for that to.

To the outfitters on here who dont kill each other to get business or bad mouth others to get ahead.Well a big thank you to them.
I hope in the future some outfitters can stay away from the words cheap hunts as there are many kind of clients. If you like high end clients god bless you and hope you have full camps all year. For those that cater more to the working class thank god you guys are around for guys like me.Neither is wrong or right just offer different things for different clients.

I am hoping some of the guys with the knowledge that can still help me will look past my post that they might not agree with and still offer help when asked for.
I do think some lines have been crossed that can not be taken back.I will ask that leapord valley safari, bushwack, tootabi valley safaris not make a comments on any of my post and I will do the same for them. They can feel free to post on this thread but please after this one dont.

The last few days have taken the fun out of the upcoming trip.Lucky for me having a son who after a trip to cabelas to get stuff for the trip has me back on track remembering why I am going.Watching the glow he gets just thinking about the trips makes any problem that may come along not seem that bad.

Good luck to all planning trip for this year and the future. Billc

I respect and appreciate most members opinions even if I sometimes disagree with them. And that includes you billc.

One of the things I really like on this forum, is that most members have the ability to discuss in a civilized and respectful way even when we disagree.
No reasons for hard feelings between members just because we view things differently sometimes :)

I think the forum would be rather boring if everybody agreed all the time :)

I hope that you and your son will have a great hunt together!

probable the biggest words any man said in a long long time...

Billc, i still would like to comment positively on your threads, well if i am allowed!!Not to say if we have differences, we can not contribute experiences, knowledge and expertise to this community.

I know you worked hard to save money for this trip. I hope you and your son have a great trip.

Well said.... Not much that I can add to that! AH really is different from most forums, most of the time. We're all human and sometimes take things further than intended, myself included. Being able to admit when something has gone to far is the sign of a good man, in my opinion.

I certainly can't talk for billc, but this is pretty big too Bushwack. And again, for the millionth time, why this site is different!!! :)

I guess if I practice what I preach I should not have added the leapord valley, bushwack, tootabi valley part.I am asking for people to not always look at a mistake as bad but holding them to a different standard. My bad and I will say I have rethought that comment to say feel free to post on my threads.

I only wish you the best. Honestly.
I know you are going to have a blast with PawPrint. He runs a great operation.

I am truly sorry things did not work out for you in the Eastern Cape. There are truly great operations and great people offering hunts here.

If you Understand it or not the law was blatantly broken. I did not enjoy the constant phone calls to the Dept. nor my personal time wasted.

It's now officially out of ALL our hands. I for one am not perfect, my wife reminds me of that fact from time to time. I do try to do the best I can and fix my mistakes as often as I can.

You and your son are welcome here as my guests any time your down in the Eastern Cape, no cost

I wish you only the best for the future and am Jealous that I don't have a friend as loyal as you.
My best hunting regards
Dave Davenport

Thank you pieter it means alot.

The only bad part is i am still only 5'7" lol so just a small man in a big world but thought it best to stop all the stuff from going on.We all like hunting and that is enough for me to think we can all get along and stay cival.

Interesting watch people getting REAL here.

Bill, I wish you and your son the best in your upcoming hunt !

billc,

No offense taken or intended on my part. My apolgies if any was taken by you.

You joined AH about 7 months or so after my first hunt in RSA. I won't rehash the story, but will quickly summarize it for you. After a week in country on a photo tour of Kruger Park my wife and I were back at the Afton GH. I got a call there that told me the safari I was to be starting the following day was not going to happen. For about a 12 hour period there it looked like I would not go hunting nor would I be able to go home prior to the listed return date on my airline tix, the latter thanks to the World Cup being in town.

Well I ended up getting re-booked with a reputable outfitter and ended up having a great time. If I had gone home and not hunted, I'm not sure I'd have ever gone back.

I had found AH prior to leaving, but only after I had booked with the original and disreputable outfitter. I can only wish I had found AH before I booked. However there's nothing like a bad experience to learn from. I hope you'll understand and believe me when I say that I never want to see anything like that happen to others. It's bad for the hunter, safari hunting, reputable outfitters and conservation.

Looking forward to reading your hunt report.

I am glad (or hope) to see that the other thread will die.

Has anyone had this experience?
Along the roadside a dog dies. after a day or 2 in the hot sun it begins to stink really bad.
But after another few days you don't smell it much at all.
The sun has swollen the belly and somebody or something comes along and pokes it.
The stench is awful and gets even worse over the next few days.

Threads like those stink. They would stink less if folks didn't keep poking it.

A gross way to compare things but I get your point.LOL I sure did do my share of poking and making things stink for sure.
I know we will all move on and learn from all of it.To many good people here who enjoy this site to let a few post hurt anyone long term.

Thanks to all who have offered well wishes for myself and son.We will make sure to have extra fun now and remember why we go to africa in the first place.
