Hello Fellow Hunters,

I hope each of you are doing well. I recently won a bid on this exciting African Safari. I would love to go but, lets just say my significant other wasn't jumping for joy after the purchase. So, for personal reasons, I am trying to sell this trip at a discount rate hoping another hunter will take advantage of this deal and have a great time.

This Package is for 7 hunting days and includes first class lodging for 8 nights. This hunt is available for the 2014/2015 season. This hunt will take place in South Africa and the outfit is Shaun Keeny Safaris (SK Safaris). SK Safaris hunts 50,000 acres of privately owned hunting land.

Trip is for 4 hunters.

Each Hunter receives trophy fees for:

1X Blesbuck
1X Impala

1Xday of bird shooting is included for each hunter

Total- $4000

The hunt may be upgraded for extra hunters and additional animals per the current price listing.

Package Includes:

-Services of a licensed professional hunter, trained skinner and tracker and 4x4 hunting vehicle.
-Accommodation within the hunting area during your safari with us.
-All meals.
-Soft Drinks during the day.
-Daily laundry Services.
-Field preparation of trophies (salting & drying).
-Government License fees for animals.
-Trophy fees are V.A.T exempts.

Package Excludes:

-Arrival and departure days ($250 per hunter per day)
-Trophy fees of animals bagged or wounded.
-Transportation of raw trophies to our local taxidermist
-Packing, dipping and shipping of trophies to final destination
-Hotel accommodation before and after safari.
-Commercial and air chartered flights between hunting areas.
-Medical expenses.
-Gratuities to staff.

FYI Admins, as I am still new to these forums please feel free to inform me of any discrepancies. I will gladly edit as needed. Thanks!

Best regards,

Matt

Too bad you have to sell the hunt.

Do you know for certain it is transferable?

Please include a price list for the other trophies.
The web site does not display them.

Brickburn,

I confirmed with the guide that this is 100% transferable.

I just sent you a PM regarding the pricelist.

Raleigh, what did you pay for this safari at the auction, vs what you are selling it for? If you make a profit are you paying that back to the body you bought the donation from?

I am asking for one very simple reason, there are many donation safaris available and many are bought for next to nothing, due to the exact number available, a trend has developed with purchased hunt being offered by third parties on sites such as this and even on EBay.

IMO profiting from such donated hunts are by no means, shape or form in the spirit of the donations system, if you will. Personally an outfitter would be to happy to transfer such safari, as he would still get feet through camp.

But my main concern is profiting off a 100% donation, from an outfitter, sold by a chapter or foundation to raise funds and then resold on the black market if you will...

Maybe it is just me but something never seems right to me when that happens.

While this May or may not be the case here, I just wanted to mention it.......

My best always

Fully agree Jaco

Plus 7 as my wife and I agree, lol.....

Hey Jaco,

I can see how profiting off a donation can easily become a trend. As a member of the organization I would not feel right profiting from a fun charitable event for a good cause.

All profits made from this hunt will be donated back to the "Delta Water Fowl Association". In fact, I would encourage the buyer to write two separate checks for peace of mind.

I paid $2k for this trip while the hope was to auction this trip at the event for $4k. The next day this very same trip went for $14k so that made us feel a little better.

I hope everyone understands I am in no way profiting from this trip. I will gladly show my original receipt to any potential buyers. I just need this off my hands before my other threatens to take me to the taxidermist. :ballchain:

You have full transparency on my end.
