What exactly is acceptable for the wording on your passport copy which is to be signed by a notary, i.e. "This is a true and correct copy of the passport for ..........presented to me this ...........date."

Does the copy need to be a color copy?

Sounds good !!! no does not need to be in color but would be better . Sounds like you dealing with leopard hunt !

Here is how I have taken care of this.
1. Have your agent take your passport and make a color copy.
2. On the side print or write: I certify that this is a true and correct copy of the original document.
3. Sign and date
4. State of ________ Fill in your state
5. county of _______ Fill in your county

Next is the Notary public Seal.
1. On February 19, 2014, before m personally appeared ____your Name (Matching your passport) who sign the foregoing document.
2. Notary signature

Have fun

Why do you need a notarized copy?

When I got notarized copies for my trip, the notary had a sticker he affixed to the copy which had the legal speak mentioned above on it and then I signed it and he stamped it and that seemed to work just fine.

When you are trying to have a pre-approved South African rifle permit when you land in South Africa.
