This is your chance to get to Africa and not break the bank!!! This trip is with Africa Maximum Safaris and is for 2 hunter and 2 observers. The trip is 5 days in the Northwest Province of South Africa. All meals and lodging at the camp are included. Lodging is in a private chalet for your group and dinners consist of gourmet meals that include venison from local game.
Trophy animals that can be shared between the two hunters are: Impala X 2 and Blesbok X 2. Again the hunters can decide who takes what animals and how many (up to two of each of course)!!! The hunt is available for the 2013-2014 season but the season is from March 1st 2013-December 31 2014. Field preparation is also included.
You will see the big 5 while on this trip and will have the option to hunt them (lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros).
If your trophies are taken early this package may be upgraded so you can continue the hunt.
The arrival and departure point is Johannesburg or Tambo International Airports. All transportation during the hunt is included and by vehicle. Airport pickup and drop off is also included. No permit drawing or lottery is required for this hunt. Shopping trips on the departure day are included. They will also add almost anything to your trip. Please visit their website to see all the extras they have. Africa Maximum Safaris.
Weapon to be used: rifle only 270 caliber or higher. Ammunition limit is 200 rounds per gun. You can bring a shotgun for bird hunting.
The total value of this package is $10,733.00.
I am offering this package at an incredible $5,500.00.
If you were to split the package 4 ways the cost would be $1,375.00.
Why say no when Africa is so close.
Please contact me if you are interested at mantello910@aol.com.
Thank you.

is this a trip you paid for and unable to go on? are you an agent? You know the saying, if it looks to good to be true

Ditto. Please give more details.. Sounds pretty amazing.

I won this trip in a charity auction and I have to get rid of it. No B.S.

one thing i always wonder when people put these hunts on here trying to sell them and say they won it, is that you dont win an auction item you are the top bidder.its not like its a surprise, you win a lottery or raffle and that is unexpected. so why bid for it in the first place if you cant/have no real intention of going/being allowed to go on the trip? :headscratch:

Not only this, but these charity/raffle hunts are hardly ever bargains and rarely offer any value. (Makes a lot of sense, as why should we expect outfitters/operators to provide anything worthwhile on the auction scene? Does not make any business sense.) In looking at the outfitter's website, their pricing on Daily Rates and Trophy Fees appear to be on the higher side of the scale ($2,200 for Cape Hartebeest, $1,150 for Mt. Reedbuck, and $220 for Arrival/Departure Days seems excessive). Not sure on the exact details, but any "upgrade" would seem to be quite costly.

This is mostly the case with Donated hunts as you correctly mention, no daily rates, and on 2-4 species no trophy fees, and if you look at adding a Kudu you get knocked for anything from $3500 - $4500 to name but one... if it looks to good to be true it mostly is... not saying it is the case in this safari or outfitters offer just adding some truth as to what I have encountered in the past...

As an outfitter I would rather do the hard slog for my hunters, just my opinion on the donation disease.....

My best always.

yup!!! Spike got back to a daughter that was a full year older... :) good to be home..

My best always

I did get details from the outfitter about the hunting package

Thanks, but not for me, hunt is only available for the 2012/2013 season and ends Dec 31 2013, along with a couple of other costs not mentioned

Good thing, because I believe the end of the hunting season in Africa is November at the latest. I could be very wrong however. Someone correct me if I am mistaken please..

If this is legit, perhaps you could say where the hunt was auctioned so that members can contact Africa Maximum for confirmation this is indeed a prize they sanctioned.

Otherwise it might be a big ask to get someone to part with 3K to a stranger for a hunt that may or may not be correct. I hope you can see it has all the makings of a scam.......

Depends on what country, one could hunt somewhere at any time of the year.

I did exactly this

What was the outcome?

OK, so reply to the request for additional information. At what auction/event/raffle/whatever was this hunt offered? What further Terms & Conditions are attached to this hunt? In reading through the details of this hunt, this is a money-pit, IMO. There is nothing attractive or worthwhile about it.

What was the outcome?
Would be very interested in hearing what this might be.

I honestly don't believe the OP had any malicious intent and I am not calling anyone out or trying to stir the pot, I did my homework and got a reply with the actual auction letter and the below comment

The arrival and departure day fees is not listed on the Hunting Forum listing.

I was also not informed that the buyer of the hunt was listing the package on the Hunting Forum and I am concerned about the misrepresentation of the package as it is advertised on the Forum.

I spoke with the representative of Africa Maximum Jacques Senekal and again his email is africamaximum@gmail.com. He clearly stated that the hunt is for the 2013 AND 2014 season. This means that the hunt is good through the end of 2014. I apologize if anyone feels that I have misrepresented this trip but again I did list the website for you to review. As for winning this in an auction. I did win this as I had the highest bid but buyers remorse very quickly set in when I looked at my wife who was not pleased. This hunt was donated to the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida for their charity auction a couple of weeks ago in Palm Beach Gardens Florida. I assure you this is not a scam. If anyone else has any comments or questions please feel free to send me a message.
