Hang in there, it takes a minute or two to start up...One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted.

I guess looking at the safety, there is chance the gun could go off by banging it against something, even though the safety is engaged. I have not a problem with my Wingmaster. Looking at the safety, I guess they could make it safer or more fool proof.
I still think they make a outstanding shotgun.

I totally agree that they make outstanding shotguns and I loved the 1100 Special Field I owned before.
But they for sure have safety flaw when nothing is there to stop the hammer when the safety is on.
I always treat my guns as they always are loaded, no matter what.
But accidents can happen while you are out hunting.
Suddenly you can slip and fall and hit hard ground/stone with the gun butt and you don't always have control over where the gun is pointing then.
You better hope it points somewhere safe then if a shot goes off....
A friend of mine once owned a Remington 700 SPS in 30-06 that almost always fired as soon as you took the safety of if you had pulled the trigger when the safety was on earlier on.
This happened the first time at the range after he bought it. And we tested it properly just to check that he didn't have his finger on the trigger when he switched off the safety.
But it was clear that pulling the trigger with the safety was on, would almost always lead to the shot going off as soon as you took the safety off, even with nothing close to the trigger.
I have no idea what caused it. If it was grease or something else inside the mechanism or if it was badly made.
He brought it back to the gun dealer the day after and got another SPS and that performed flawless as long as he owned it.
I own a Remington 7 Predator in 223 now and I am very happy with it.
But I made sure to really test the safety and trigger before I bought it.

I didn't watch the entire second video. I think it's a non story regarding the saftey with the guy who was cleaning the gun in his garage and "accidently" shot his wife. He said he didn't know it was loaded. Why the hell was he cleaning it without checking and making sure? That is one of the main rules of gun safety. I was taught that at 7 years old. He was in the wrong from jumpstreet.
My opinion for the guy who was done dove hunting and loading his gear into the truck, with the gun leaned against the wheelwell. That was his fault as well. Why did he still have it loaded if he was at his vehicle and done hunting? Once again common firearm safety.

Why anyone would watch something put out by MSNBC is beyond me! Most biased, uber liberal so-called news outfit in existence. I would put nothing past them as they are totally agenda driven, and the agenda aint good.

Unsafe gun handling, and a bias media...
If I park 10000 one ton pick-ups on a hillside with a 45 degree pitch, put them in park and walk away, my guess would be there would be several parking brake failures.
This would not be a safe vehicle practice to get into, but I am sure it happens thousands of times a year, but MSNBC probably won't cover that.
As to numbnuts opening question of, why shouldn't the government be able to regulate the firearms manufactures,,,,???? Well let's see..... Could they regulate the sales of firearms as well,,, hmmmm...
Don't think I will buying into this media hooplah. There are hundreds of thousands of firearms in the world, and manufacturers defects are not that high of a number, over the last 100 yrs."That which does not kill us makes us stronger" Friedrich Nietzsche

This is an old story - Everyone I know with a Remington 700 (BDL/CDL/770 etc) has tried to repeat this claim with their gun and was unable to do so.
The problem isn't MSNBC (although they are somewhat to the left of Marx and Lenin) - it's "news" shows of this kind in particular. FOX isn't any better. To be an investigative journalist, you have to have the morals of a snake and an IQ in single digits.

I dont think they do. Most of the lamestream media is big time left bent and FOX is pretty much down the middle. MSNBC is just dog nuts leftist.
