What bullet for my .338-06!
I´m going to South Africa 3 weeks from now and I´m having some trouble choosing bullets for my 338-06 rifle. I´m planning to hunt zebra, eland, impala, red hartebeest and steenbok...
I´m choosing between the North Fork 200gr and Swift A-frame 225gr. I´d like the flatter trajectory of the north fork bullet but I´m afraid that it would be a bit lightweight for the eland and zebra??
What do you think? They booth shoot great in my rifle.

I think you be fine with any one of your choices. I shoot the 225 Swift A Frame in my 338 Win and they are extremely deadly!

I have been happy with the Norma 230 grn Oryx bullets in my 8.5x63 Reb (338-06 improved) for the tuff stuff.
Norma at MidwayUSA
Although I shoot the serria 225 gamekings for most stuff!

I have been hunting with the oryx bullet, norma is religion here in Sweden
But i feel i want a harder bullet with a more controlled expansion for the African game.

I really like the Interbond or SST from Hornady too. But the Swift A frames are perfect for Africa.

If they shoot great through your rifle, both have proven themselves, so either I think would be a great choice.

Why not split the diference and try the 210gr TSX or TTSX?
They'll shoot as flat as the North Fork 200gr bullet and will easily penetrate as deep (or deeper) than the 225gr A-Frame.
