    Default A. Hollis 500/450 NE

I just snagged a fresh horse to put in my stable.
It's an A. Hollis 500/450 circa 1906 with all the extras with it. Although it's seen better days I was told that I'll keep it in a 3"group at 100 yds, IF I do my part. I can't wait til it is here some time in the next week or so.

I think it'll work for the big black Buff pretty soon.

Congradulations! I guess that caliber is what Teddy Roosevelt had for one of his double rifles in Africa. What a buy! Let us know how you like shooting it.

It's supposed to toss a 480 grn slug out as fast as my 450 NE so depending on the stocking and weight it should be a sweetie. I'm already laying is supplys for it care and feeding.

Hopefully with in the next 2 years it'll be headed down you way.

Oh! a beautiful double, was a very popular caliber for big game hunting in India during the British Raj, many erstwhile Maharajas had used this caliber for Tiger Hunting. Lucky you.
