I have always favored the 458 Win Mag. If you wanted to step it up a little the 458 Lott or the 450 Rigby. That's just me though, I am "STILL" in the process of having a custom 458 wm built.... Guess I have always liked the 45 caliber, plus mentioned in other post (numerous times) is if your rifle and ammo get seperated. The 458 wm and the lott ammo would be somewhat easier to locate on foreign soil.

..build something special..like a .404 Jeffery..
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted.

The 577 Tyrannosaur, that will sit you on your ass. Don't know that I would own it,,, but,,, I would like to shoot it once or twice, or thrice.

sest, I watch that video about once a month,,,, kinda like a three stooges fix, I have to watch it every now and then. Best part of the video is all those guys getting the crap kicked out of them, then the big white guy (UK, US, Canadian ((who knows)) sit's down to the bench and fires one off. THAT is the best part of the video...
Any rifle with a belly that big has got to be a thumper, right up your alley BART (or at least that's where I think this is headed)."That which does not kill us makes us stronger" Friedrich Nietzsche

Don't get your hopes up on the cheap end, quality hunts cost $$$$$! And the government is making sure they get their share before the outfitter can begin to try to make a profit.
